Don't Believe in what people say

Tip #5 to get a good rank you have to practice as much as possible but question is how to get so many good practice problems ?
the best source is the exercise questions provided in the standard books
most of the students ignore them  but they are really helpful in building concepts for gate
if you take books like keneth rosen for discrete mathematics
theory of computation by peter linz , dbms by navathe and korth all these books have practice questions and they not objective rather than quantitative
every one who is in top 100 do those questions , so don't miss them while preparing for gate

tip #6 Don't Believe in what people say
if someone achieved something than they try to be cool and show others that how easy it was to get a good rank etc
to get good rank it needs dedicated effort , Good Guidance and lot of hard work
if it was so easy than everyone will be a topper but topper is one
once my professor said " To be successful A person have to do hard work only for 3 years in his life . if you are a students and  you do that hard work during your high school  - you'll get an iit (if that is your aim ) , if you do hard-work after your graduation than you'll get success , and even if you are 50 years old and have not achieved anything
it takes only 3 years of dedicated effort and proper guidance to achieve something"
if you studied well in b.tech than you don't have to dedicatedly prepare for gate
if you are dedicatedly preparing for gate exam it means that you haven't done any good work during your 4 years of b.tech
remember don't be fooled by what others say

one more mistake done by students is to copy others
if you think " that person was a topper and he studied like this n that , so i should also study like him/her" than you are wrong (i was a copy cat till my graduation i use to do the same mistake . I copied the toppers in every sense , i copied how they the pen , how thy talk , how they sit while studying and how they write etc but that didn't made me topper)
every person is not same and all the people in the world have different mental capabilities
for example a person can understand a topic just by reading a book but some other person cant. he may need to be taught one or more time
study the way which makes the concept clear to you and you can apply that concept in exam
don't copy others and make your own style of studying
